Halloween Costume #2 Regina George

While I would never want to be a mean girl I loved this costume! Again, it was last minute and I didn't know what to be. I thought this would be easy, funny and definitely recognizable. All I did was take an old white beater and cut two holes (you can see wear) and wore a bright bra. Because I didn't have a black mini, I took a black tank dress and rolled it into a skirt. I paired it with black heels, straightened my hair and strutted out the door. Again, this costume was totally free and people loved it!

Halloween Costume #1 I love Lucy

As I said, I like to find halloween costumes within my own closet (or my friends!). I was running late on figuring out my costume this year (and by late I mean we were leaving in an hour and I had no idea what to be) and my friend suggested Lucille Ball. She wears a lot of polka dots, navy blue and bright lips. So to complete this costume I got a red skirt, made an apron out of an old white mini skirt and tucked in this navy and white polka dot top. I threw my hair up in some curls and added a bandana. Also, I made a little heart name tag and wrote "Lucy" in the "I love Lucy" font. Fun, easy, free and got lots of compliments!

Cozy sweater

So it's getting pretty chilly up here in Wisco so I needed a warm sweater today. I loved this bright pink one I got from Gap (on sale only $10). It is probably the softest clothing item I own. I paired it with a dark purple beater and a fun scarf. I went with a lighter silk scarf because the sweater is more bulky in the front. Also, because my hair was up I paired it with simple silver earrings.

My cheapest shirt!

Not the most detailed outfit but I wanted to share that I got this gorgeous teal shirt from a thrift store for...wait for it...$1.80!! Yes, under TWO DOLLARS! Never underestimate a thrift store, I like shopping in the women's because there are some great blouses. Always remember to be open minded. You probably won't find "trendy" pieces but you can find some nice clothing from past years. I also got a comfy flannel, another beautiful blouse, and a sweater for under 10 bucks!

One Warm Day

Up here in Wisconsin we got a day in the 70s this october and i took advantage of it! I paired a hi-lo from forever 21 with a plain tank and cardigan and minimal jewelry for a casual look. I wore it with tan boots. Perfect for the warmish windy weather!

Fun and favorite outfit!

I LOVE this outfit! I got this dress from Dry Goods (under $20)! It came with a brown belt but I wanted to play up the colors so I added a teal one. Then, I thought the top needed a little something so I added a bold teal necklace. I paired it with some crazy colorful shoes (from a previous post). I actually didn't end up wearing them out because my feet were not prepared! Haha

Sundresses in the Fall?!

This was a fun and comfy outfit that I threw together in mourning of summer and sundresses! I'm wearing a flowery sundress and belt to give it shape but I also threw on a plain jean button up so it was warm enough to wear. I was able to go bare-legged but as it gets colder I'll start putting on some tights and boots.

Mix and match styles

Playing with a few different looks here. The distressed high waisted jeans are much more vintage/grunge than the blazer but with a shiny belt and casual fun top, it works. Loved this outfit!

Bright Pants (and a funny story)

I LOVED the neon pants trend! These bright green babies were from Pac Sun for $15! I paired it with a pale pink shirt and jean button up for some fun block coloring and a casual look. Also...I spilled coffee on my shirt half way through the day and I mean SPILLED (photo below) so I had to change into the only other shirt I had while my pink one dried and it was bright purple! I was rockin' the Barney look I suppose!

Belted Cardigan

I paired my favorite jeans with a tube top from H&M ($5) and a cardigan from Nordstrom Racks (a favorite of mine!). I added the skinny teal belt to give it some shape and a pop of color. I also had a teal stone bracelet that matched perfectly!

Sock Bun curls

I saw the tutorial for these and was AMAZED. Here's how it turned out for me. The top was not very curly so I had to pull it back but the bottom turned out pretty well. It didn't stay great throughout the day though. But still, pretty for a morning you know you won't be able to shower and want some messy waves and curls.

Halloween Costumes

So I figured since Halloween is coming up I would share some costume ideas! I don't like to spend a lot of money so I usually get inspiration from something I already have in my closet and then just by the extras that don't cost as much.
Witch #1
I had a black leo (shirt would work just as well) and a black skirt. I bought a hat and gloves to make sure I looked like a witch and paired it with some grey, cowboy-style, ankle boots that I already had.

Witch #2
I had a long black cardigan, black leo and tights. I added a grey belt to give the outfit some shape and paired it with the same boots, hat and gloves.

Smurf!
I had the high waisted white shorts and bought the long sleeve shirt from Goodwill for $3, the socks I got from Ragstock for just a few dollars as well. I paired it with a white had and gloves from Walgreens (just a few dollars each)

Sperrys!

My first pair of Sperrys! I got these for only $65 on endless.com. The only downsize was that they only had a 9.5 and I am a 10. I would not suggest going down a half size, personally. They are pretty tight and the blisters are no fun!

Girly girl

Very girl look here! Pink, polka dots, pears and a braided head band! The skirt was only $15 from H&M (a favorite store of mine) and the shirt (also from H&M) was only $5!
